Chief Executive of the Students' Union

We are looking for an exceptional individual to become the next Chief Executive of the Students’ Union of the University of Bath. There is enormous potential to build on our national reputation, and we’re looking for an experienced leader to help us unlock this for the future.

Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive is accountable for the management, development and longer term sustainability of The SU and for providing the highest level of support to the elected leadership. They oversee the day-to-day operations of the SU and its charitable status. They are an important ambassador for The SU with all external and internal stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who can be student-led and demonstrate empathy with the cause, mission and values of The SU. You will combine strategic and analytical thinking with strong operational delivery including financial and commercial acumen. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including charity law and health & safety, will be important. You will be an inspiring leader who can motivate staff, support officers and build networks. Successfully navigate sensitive and political issues is a key part of this role.
