Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper at The Clyde Hotel, Argyle Street. Part time on a permanent basis.

As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for setting high standards to ensure the service is operated safely, hygienically and to contractual specifications. Your responsibilities will also include, but not limited to:

  • Liaise with Head Housekeeper to ensure all rooms are cleaned in conjunction with guest’s check-in/departures
  • Maintain clean rooms by vacuuming, polishing, providing linen services, dusting, cleaning to a high standard and performing other duties as advised by the Senior Housekeeping team
  • Deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness, look after guests' needs and maintain a polite and courteous attitude
  • Replenish linen and guest supplies
  • Provide an excellent guest experience
  • Reporting any defects such as faults and any areas of concern

The ideal candidate:

  • Passion for cleanliness with a keen eye for detail and high standards
  • A desire to consistently deliver an excellent level of service and improve departmental performance
  • You’ll have a real focus on quality standards of your own work and that of the team
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Flexibility, reliability and work under pressure

Experience of working in a hotel or in a similar position would be advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-32 per week

Salary: Β£9.00-Β£10.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Glasgow, G2 8LL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • housekeeping: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: One location
