Packaging Designer
Job Summary:
This is an on-site varied role within the design team of Thompson Packaging, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes and packaging based at the Bowthorpe Industrial Estate, Norwich. You will be using CAD technology to build bespoke packaging and designing/reworking artwork.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with KASEMAKE AutoCAD software to produce packaging designs and samples.
- Create and rework artwork from initial briefs to layouts, 3D visuals & final proofs using Adobe Illustrator.
- Liaise with the sales team, suppliers, customers, and production staff.
- Use Cape Pack software to create pallet plans.
- Order and manage tooling for manufacturing.
- Occasional social media administration.
Essential Skills:
- Educated to a high level in Graphic Design and/or experience within a similar or transferable employment.
- Fluent with Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong creative outlook with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to receive and interpret briefs.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Full valid driving license
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working within corrugated packaging design.
- Understanding of AutoCAD software (KASEMAKE).
- Knowledge of packaging or packaging materials.
Package:
- Basic annual salary up to £30,000 (dependent on experience)
