Sportswear & Large Format Digital Dye-Sublimation Designer

This is an opportunity for Sportswear print designer to join a small established manufacturing company located in Dudley, the West Midlands. The ideal candidate should be hardworking with a positive attitude.

We will be interviewing this position for an immediate start. Willing to see a beginner as long as the candidate is ready to learn and has an interest in the job

Responsibilities & Duties

  • This job has a dual function as a designer as well as large format print operator.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in using Illustrator, Photoshop and Corel Draw, previous experience with large format digital printing will be beneficial
  • You will work directly with the sales team preparing garment designs for the sportswear industry utilising both your skills as a sportswear designer and an in-house database of pre-prepared designs
  • Working with Adobe Illustrator completed designs will be presented in a PDF format for customer / client’s approval incorporating any vectorised embellishments needed by the customer for production.
  • Using a database of graded garment patterns, you will convert / prepare / interpret CAD designs completed by both yourself and our in-house design into flat artworks that will go directly for print.
  • Create and maintain artwork templates and production artwork guidelines Manage colour matching across different print platforms
  • Maintain and manage in-house printers and print supplies

The Person:

You must be a flexible team player, a self-starter and proactive designer able to work with tight deadlines.

You must have Adobe Illustrator experience and knowledge of the colour matching process.

Ideally you will have a passion for sports / sportswear and a background in screen printing will be helpful but not essential.

Working Hours:

08:00am till 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Part-time leading to Full-time, Permanent

The Pay:

The hourly rate will be starting at Β£10.42 leading to Β£12.00 after a satisfactory probation period. The position has the potential to become permanent for the right person. If you are interested, please forward your CV and a member of the team will be in touch.
