Retail Assistant
Day shifts with Friday and Saturday off
BGC are the UK's leading wholesaler of greeting cards, partyware and giftware. We have a vacancy for a team member in our wholesale cash and carry in Avonmouth, Bristol.
The role will involve all normal elements of wholesale work such as taking deliveries, stock maintenance, picking/packing, use of pallet trucks, and some heavy lifting. The role also requires customer service duties including serving customers, taking payments, advising customers about our products / stock availability.
Experience of warehouse and/or retail work and a willingness to learn are expected. Knowledge of the greetings industry would be welcome, as would an understanding of health and safety basics and using inventory software and HHTs.
The ideal candidate will be hard working and motivated, have a keen eye for detail, have an approachable attitude, be well organised/flexible and be able to use their own initiative when not directed by the Branch Manager.
Hours each week will be 44 in total with a starting rate of £10 per hour - Monday to Wednesday 7.30am to 5.30pm, Thursday 7.30am to 7.30pm and Sunday 7.30am to 1.30pm. We may consider flexibility on the working pattern for the right candidate.
