We are a family owned business with over 40 years in the paint industry. With four sites, the company covers East Anglia, East London and Essex regions. Our branches are at Canvey Island, Dagenham, Latchingdon & Ipswich. We supply paints and ancillary products across a wide range of industries, primarily to the Auto trade.
Role Responsibilities:
Fulfilling Customer orders face-to-face in the shop, taking phone and email instructions.
Weighing and mixing paints for various industries.
Using mixing machinery to mix paint.
Checking vehicle paperwork to understand what colour you will be required to mix.
Using a colour match scanner or colour cards to match the correct colour.
Using computer based programs to understand what paints have to be mixed to achieve the desired colour.
Loading and Unloading Stock.
General Warehouse duties, stock checks, cleaning etc.
Cleaning Paint mix room and mix equipment.
Customer Deliveries using company Van.
Taking payment, using till and creating invoices.
Other ad-hoc duties may be required.
The Person:
A positive outgoing team player with a good eye for colour.
Methodical and good at working under pressure.
Flexible to work on agreed Saturday morning staff rota.
Full valid UK driving licence is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years
Excellent attention to detail.
Basic computer skills and good with numbers, reading codes and following mix instructions.
Good communication skills and the ability to both work as part of a team and using own initiative.
Have a good knowledge of the East Anglia area.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm & every other Saturday 9am-12pm
